Leafy Tree Collage

This paper tree craft is made of real leaves! A perfect opportunity for an afternoon activity, collecting leaves and glueing them down keeps your little artist engaged the whole time.

Supplies Needed:

  • Poster Paper

  • Torn up Pieces of Brown Construction Paper

  • Scissors

  • Green Tissue Paper (optional)

  • Popsicle Sticks

  • Paper Cup

  • Non-Toxic Liquid Glue

  • Leaves

Prep for the Adults:

Cut the poster paper into a mushroom-like shape.

Pour some of the non-toxic glue into the paper cup.

Step-by-Step:

Gather the paper, leaves, popsicle sticks, and glue.

The popsicle stick is used to spread the glue onto the paper on the area where the tree trunk will go.

The pieces of brown construction paper are glued onto the trunk area. Repeat this step until the whole trunk is covered with the pieces of paper.

It should look similar to this.

Now it’s time to glue the leaves on! The glue can be put on the leaves using the popsicle sticks.

Then the leaves are placed onto the top of the paper, where the tree-top is.

Here’s the finished product!

Optional!: Crumple up small pieces of green tissue paper and dip them into the glue.

Glue the crumpled up tissue paper into the gaps between your leaves to make your tree look fuller.

A perfect craft to show your kids the uniqueness of nature.
